Welcome to VC News. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and VC News. By creating an account or otherwise using the website and related services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

What is VC News?

VC News is a personal newsletter tool. You pick sources — RSS feeds, X (Twitter) handles, and podcast feeds — and we deliver scheduled briefs summarizing what matters, over email or Telegram. We use automated systems and large language models to generate summaries and rankings from the content you subscribe to.

Third-party content

Briefs are generated from publicly available and licensed feeds. All news and third-party content remains the property of its original rights holders. You agree not to redistribute briefs in ways that replace or substitute for the original source, and to respect the terms of the platforms and publishers you subscribe to.

Connecting your accounts

You may connect delivery destinations such as Telegram or an email address. Those accounts remain subject to their providers’ own terms. Some features depend on third-party APIs (e.g. the Telegram Bot API), which may change, limit, or discontinue access at any time. We are not responsible for interruptions caused by third-party services.

Account registration

The Services are offered to individuals who are at least 18 years old and can form legally binding contracts. You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure.

Acceptable use

When you use the Services, you agree not to:

• Infringe anyone’s intellectual property or other rights.
• Violate any laws or regulations.
• Use the Services for harassment, fraud, deception, or any harmful or abusive purpose.
• Attempt to obtain passwords or account information from other users, or compromise the security of any network or system.
• Run mailing lists, spam, or automated processes that overload our infrastructure or interfere with how the Services work.
• Crawl, scrape, or otherwise extract data from the Services in bulk, whether manually or automatically.
• Decompile, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive the source code of the Services.

We may suspend or terminate access immediately if we believe you have violated these rules.

Your content

You own the content you upload or configure in VC News — including the sources you add and any notes or preferences you set. By providing this content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and display it so we can operate and improve the Services. This license ends when we delete your content from our systems.

You also grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use anonymized or aggregated data derived from your use of the Services to improve VC News and develop new features.

Our content

The VC News brand, website, software, and product design are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for their intended purpose. This license does not give you any rights in our trademarks or proprietary materials beyond use of the Services.

Pricing and subscriptions

The Services are currently free to use. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans or premium features in the future. If we do, we will notify you in advance through the app or by email.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. After termination, certain provisions of these Terms survive, including limitations on liability, intellectual property rights, and dispute resolution.

Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated summaries will be accurate or complete. You are responsible for verifying important information against the original sources.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VC News will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Services.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
